Sight tests

A sight test is more than just a check of your vision. When our optometrist visits you to conduct an eye test, we look at your overall health and wellbeing. Before we start, we like to talk to both you (and your carers, if appropriate) about your general health, and any medications you may be taking. When it comes to how we can improve your sight, it can be more than just glasses – many other things can have an influence, such as your surroundings, decor lighting etc. A sight test at home allows us to check on a lot of these other important factors.
All our equipment is lightweight and portable which means we can work around you in comfort when we perform a sight test - no awkward chairs or work stations to contend with!
Roaming Eyes will bulk bill for the costs of sight tests. Anyone who is eligible for Medicare or supported by the Department of Veterans' Affairs can have a sight test free of charge (once a year for over 65s, once every 3 years for under 65s).
